Function / Content

This series consists of historic survey maps, plans and sketches of the Northern Territory. Most of the sheets have a scale of chains/feet to inches and in some cases the name of the certified surveyor and a reference to the associated field book. The maps contain boundaries, lot numbers, roads, area /locality and reference a file if applicable. The sizes of the plans vary in size from small to large and are printed on a variety of mediums. The series includes originals and copies of original plans. Two of interest are MIS 1916 Geological Sketch Port Darwin to Alice and MIS 2312 Topographical map of the country between Daly and Finniss Rivers 1917.
